MOFFAT COUNTY LAND USE BOARD MEETING MINUTES October 12, 2009 Attendees: Dave Watson, LUB Steve Hinkemeyer,LUB Jeff Comstock, Moffat County Natural Resources Dept. (Quorum not present) Call to Order: Meeting was not called to order. Moment of Silence: No moment of silence occurred. Approval of Minutes from August 2009 Minutes not reviewed General Discussion/Committee Reports Archaeology Jeff provided an update on the Medicine Wheel Road Arch study. The State did award a $10,000 grant to the County. Paperwork must be completed to receive the money. Loudy Simpson Oil and Gas Lease Jeff provided an update of the 1/32 gas lease issued to Samson Resources under Loudy Simpson. Jeff reviewed an arial photo showing COGCC regulations and described how drilling would not be possible within the public use area of the Park. CR Vacation Policy Commissioners reviewed the policy and accepted the LUB recommendation on vacating county roads. RMA with BLM RMA is still in BLM’s hands and nothing has been done to date. Secretary Salazar Letter Commissioners signed a letter requesting the Secretary and BLM director support the existing BLM RMP with notable exceptions to the Wild and Scenic River portions.
